Flags
Life goes on, busy as always. Browsing today, I came across these flags (via newsdesigner.com) which use flags to make a political point. They were designed for an advertising campaign by a Portugese magazine, Grande Reportagem, so all the text on the images is Portugese. [edit: found flags in english just after posting]
The beauty of it is, regardless of whether the flag is accurate to 0.1%, the design makes a point that anyone can understand, using colour and space to illustrate how a situation is in real life. The tag line of the campaign ("conheƧa o mundo em que vive") means something like "knows the world just like it is" [edit: on the english flags it's "meet the world"] ,and i think it give something quite powerful to each of the situations it comments on. Go look now! [english version]
