Ocean's Twelve
I went to see Ocean's Twelve with Jane this evening and thought i would share a few thoughts on it.
I think it was funnier than the first film, but it felt a little strained at times. The gag about Tess/Julia Roberts was slightly clichéd and i felt the film was less intelligent too. Again, a good twist, as we came expecting, and i had picked at least some of it out earlier in the film.
We knew there would be a stellar cast and obviously the names were all there doing their thing. Bernie Mac was hardly in the film, apart from being a stereotyped "black man" and getting manicures. The cameo roles were amusing too, though again I felt that it leant too heavily on clichés - french baddie, fobidden love, etc...
Overall, an enjoyable film, but we were well warned it was not one better than Ocean's Eleven.
